The T3 terminal at Baltic Hub has been honored with the prestigious “21st Century Construction” title in the industrial and engineering facilities category of the 30th edition of Poland’s nationwide “Modernization of the Year & 21st Century Construction” competition.

This distinction recognizes both the quality of the project’s execution and its significance for the development of Poland’s port and logistics infrastructure. This year’s competition attracted 569 projects from across the country, with 83 developments qualifying for the final stage.

Officially inaugurated in June 2025, T3 is the largest investment in Baltic Hub’s history and one of the most significant port infrastructure projects completed in Poland in recent years. Built on a 36-hectare site, the terminal will increase Baltic Hub’s annual handling capacity from 3 million to 4.5 million TEU once fully operational. Its state-of-the-art deep-water berth enables the handling of the world’s largest container vessels, further strengthening Gdańsk’s position as a key logistics gateway for Central and Eastern Europe.

The award was received on behalf of Baltic Hub by Dominik Wróblewski, Civil Engineering Projects Director, who was responsible for overseeing the delivery of the T3 project. The distinction reflects the successful collaboration of project, construction and operational teams involved in bringing one of the Baltic Sea region’s most ambitious infrastructure investments to life.

The success of the project was made possible through the dedication and expertise of numerous partners and specialists. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Budimex, the project’s general contractor, as well as DEME and Royal HaskoningDHV, whose knowledge, experience and commitment played a vital role in the successful delivery of T3.

The “21st Century Construction” award is not only a recognition of the infrastructure itself but also of the people behind it. It highlights the value of collaboration, innovation and the determination required to deliver projects of strategic importance to the economy and the future of maritime transport.

Today, T3 stands as a symbol of growth for Baltic Hub, the Port of Gdańsk and Poland’s maritime economy. This recognition further reinforces Baltic Hub’s position as one of Europe’s most modern and strategically important container terminals.
