This is what the Police Station at Port Polska Airport will look like
A police station will be built at the future Port Polska airport. It will provide facilities for officers responsible for security, public order and responding to incidents requiring police intervention at the airport. New visualisations of the building are now available. The design documentation is being prepared by a consortium comprising Kallan and WLC Engineers.
Police at the airport
One of the facilities forming part of the future airport’s infrastructure will be a police station. Officers will be responsible, among other things, for maintaining public order, responding to incidents requiring intervention, and cooperating with other services operating at the airport.
The police station will serve both the landside area, i.e. the publicly accessible part of the airport, and the airside area, directly associated with aviation operations.
The building will be equipped with operational, administrative and technical facilities required for the unit’s work. Locating the police station within the airport will enable officers to respond efficiently to incidents and cooperate effectively with the other airport services.
From design to building permit
The building’s documentation is being prepared by a consortium of Kallan, based in Warsaw, and WLC Engineers, based in Kraków. The scope of work includes the design of the police station, site development and associated infrastructure.
The consortium is preparing a multidisciplinary design covering, among other things, architectural, structural, sanitary, telecommunications and electrical solutions. The contract is worth PLN 3.6 million net.
The tender for preparing the documentation was launched in February 2025, and the contract with the designer was signed in June 2025. Under the basic scope of the contract, a construction design will be prepared and a building permit obtained. The contract also provides for the possibility of commissioning an execution design, tender documentation and author’s supervision.
One of the facilities supporting the airport
The design documentation for the police station is being prepared under contracts covering Airport Support Facilities, i.e. infrastructure required for the airport’s day-to-day operation and for the services working on its premises. These facilities complement the airport’s core infrastructure – the terminal, runways, apron and transport system – and will be essential to the efficient operation of the airport as a whole.
