Record cargo volumes at the Port of Gdańsk – a strong first half of 2026
The first half of 2026 confirms the growing role of the Port of Gdańsk as a key logistics hub in the Baltic Sea region and an important link in global supply chains.

In the first half of the year, the Port of Gdansk recorded the following results:
- 41.7 million tonnes of total cargo handled (+9% YoY)
- 1.6 million TEU (+23% YoY) handled at Baltic Hub
- 1.3 million tonnes of grain (+13% YoY)
- 2,193 vessel calls (+6% YoY)
Key trends:
- Strong growth in general cargo volumes (+17% YoY)
- Dynamic increase in coal handling (+51% YoY)
- Stable liquid fuels volumes (18.8 million tonnes)
The cargo structure remains balanced, with liquid fuels accounting for 45% and general cargo for 36% of total throughput. General cargo is currently one of the main drivers of growth.
