New R&D Project at SIM Factor
SIM Factor is launching a new R&D project entitled “Increasing the efficiency of world virtualisation processes at SIM Factor S.A. through the use of artificial intelligence mechanisms.”

The project is being carried out under the Europan Funds for Modern Economy 2021-2027 programme – SMART Path, organised by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. It will run from April 2026 to September 2028. Its objective is to develop a process innovation that will automate the railway route virtualization process using artificial intelligendemechanisms.
This is an important step in the further development of our technology. In practical terms, the project responds to SIM Factor’s growing need for faster and more efficient digital representation of real railway routes for simulation purposes. For us, this is not only about developing new tools – it is also an investment in scaling capabilities, quality and delivery capacity for future projects. We are pleased to continue developing our own AI-based solutions and to further strengthen SIM Factor’s technological edge. There is a lot of work ahead – but also a very clear direction: even better tools for building the world of railway simulation – said in a statement.
The total project budget amounts to PLN 4,560,810.12, with PLN 2,599,615.24 in funding awarded to SIM Factor.
