A large-scale operation at DB Port Szczecin
In March, DB Port Szczecin, in cooperation with Heavy Lift, carried out a demanding transshipment operation involving two transformers, each weighing over 350 tonnes. These were among the largest loads we have handled in recent times.
The transshipment was performed using the skidding method – a precise and safe technique that allows such heavy structures to be moved without the use of conventional cranes. The transformers were efficiently loaded onto barges, ready for further sea transport.
Projects like this demonstrate that DB Port Szczecin handles not only standard cargo operations, but also advanced logistics projects requiring experience, precision, and excellent teamwork.
