CPK seek contract engineer for the construction of the first stage of the railway node
The Centralny Port Komunikacyjny company, responsible for delivering the strategic Port Polska investment, has invited 20 companies and consortia to submit bids for the role of contract engineer for the design and construction of the first stage of the railway node in the airport area. Bids may be submitted until 9 March.

The first package of the railway node forms part of the “Y” High-Speed Railway line, i.e., line 85 (LK85) connecting Warsaw – New Airport – Łódź. The project also includes a connecting link with line 3 (Warsaw – Poznań route) and a northern railway exit towards the planned CMK Północ (CMK North) line.
The current procurement is being conducted under a framework agreement for contract engineer services for accompanying railway projects. The agreement, signed in July 2022 with 20 entities selected through a tender, allows Centralny Port Komunikacyjny to issue individual project tenders. This is the fifth such procurement under the framework agreement. The contractor will be selected on the basis of price.
The successful company will be responsible for supervising and managing the contract under a “design and build” format. The scope of the agreement also includes, among other tasks, oversight of the development of the construction design for the first package of the railway node, verification, acceptance, and settlement of works, as well as obtaining necessary administrative approvals and permits.
The “CPK Railway Node” has been divided into three packages and will be constructed in stages. Once completed, it will provide connections across central Poland along both east–west and north–south axes.
According to the current Port Polska schedule, the first section of the high-speed line between Warsaw and Łódź is expected to be operational before the end of 2032, coinciding with the opening of the airport. Sections to Poznań and Wrocław are planned to be completed by the end of 2035.
