Port of Gdynia among the 10 key ports of the future according to the Accolade report
The Port of Gdynia has been included in the prestigious group of ten European ports which, according to Accolade experts, will play a key role in the transformation of supply chains, logistics and industrial investments in the coming years.

The report prepared by experts from Accolade, an international investor in industrial real estate, indicates that it is ports such as Gdynia and Szczecin-Świnoujście that are gaining in importance in the face of changes in global logistics. As Europe’s largest ports, such as Rotterdam and Hamburg, approach their capacity limits, flexible locations that are open to investment and offer developed infrastructure are playing an increasingly important role.
The Port of Gdynia – the strength of the Baltic Sea in numbers
- In 2024, the Port of Gdynia handled 975,000 TEU.
- Investments are underway in the construction of the Outer Port – a new deep-water container terminal that will enable the handling of the largest ocean-going vessels.
- Thanks to its excellent integration with the rail and road networks, Gdynia handles a growing volume of cargo from Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and the Baltic states.
Experts emphasise that the development of the Port of Gdynia is also supported by the government’s “Polish Sea” programme, which aims to expand port infrastructure, develop intermodal transport and invest in green energy.
“The Port of Gdynia has been considered one of the most dynamically developing logistics centres in the Baltic Sea region for years. Thanks to strategic investments and the support of government programmes, Poland can become a leader in new, sustainable logistics in Central and Eastern Europe,” emphasised Joanna Sinkiewicz, Managing Director of Accolade in Poland, quoted in the report.
The Port of Gdynia is consistently strengthening its position as a key hub in European supply chains, becoming a natural destination for investors and logistics operators. Thanks to its flexibility, openness to innovation and commitment to sustainable development, Gdynia is consolidating its role as a port of the future.
