On December 3, an agreement was signed with the Tri-City consortium TRIDENTE at the headquarters of the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority.

A preliminary agreement was concluded with the Consortium, which includes:

SPEED sp. z o.o., ul. Tadeusza Wendy 15, 81-341 Gdynia (Consortium leader),

TRIDENTE sp. z o.o., ul. Tadeusza Wendy 15, 81-341 Gdynia,

Polski Cement sp. z o. o., ul. Jana Heweliusza 11/819, 80-890 Gdańsk.

On behalf of the Ports Authority, the signatories were Jarosław Siergiej, President of the Management Board, and Krzysztof Sadowski, Vice President for Infrastructure.

The lease area is almost 10 hectares. The Tri-City consortium will invest in the construction of a universal transshipment terminal and production facilities: a modern cement plant will be built, which will operate based on efficient and non-burdensome production technology.

– We care about the development of the Ports, we invest in the modernization and preparation of infrastructure so that the port can develop and attract investors – said Jarosław Siergiej during the meeting.

When asked about the choice of this location, the president of SPEED – Paweł Zastawny answered:

– The ports in Szczecin and Świnoujście are the only ones currently really expanding their investment offer with new areas, so the choice for this investment was natural – he emphasized.

The investor also assures that it will take into account high standards of environmental protection. – Any nuisance and dusting is the domain of terminals operating on the basis of old technologies. We look at it from a broader perspective, we do not want to duplicate the schemes used – said Paweł Zastawny.

– We will make sure that the cement production process is fully hermetic – emphasized Bartłomiej Kmiotek, president of Polski Cement. – The only place where the reloaded clinker could produce dust is the stage of unloading from the ship, but we also want to use modern technologies there that will minimize the risk of dusting – he added.

The development of the port in the spirit of new technologies and care for the environment is happening before our eyes.
