During the meeting with the participation of Secretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure Arkadiusz Marchewka, President of the Municipal Sports and Environmental Protection Authority Jarosław Siergiej, Vice-President for Investments Krzysztof Sadowski and Plenipotentiary for Port Development Rafał Zahorski, the following topics were discussed: about the location decision and dialogue with the local community.

At the end of July, we received a final location decision – at the end of July it was delivered to the Municipal Sports and Recreation Authority. We are currently waiting for the environmental decision, which is to be issued by GDOŚ before the end of the year.

– The location decision is irrevocable and binding – assured Minister Arkadiusz Marchewka during the press conference. – In recent months, the following works have also been carried out: feasibility study and environmental report for the eastern approach track to the port of Świnoujście, and a tender for ferromagnetic testing was announced – he added.
The investment we are implementing in the Port of Świnoujście is a responsible, economically justified and ecological project. We make every effort to ensure that the terminal is perceived as an opportunity for sustainable development.

Port is a resident of Świnoujście

The port, like other local companies and institutions, is a partner and co-creator of the local community, one of the residents, together with them creating the fabric of the city. – Due to its conditions and features, the port determines the maritime identity of Świnoujście, and through its activities it creates local prosperity – said president Jarosław Siergiej.

Świnoujście has been a port city not for a few or even several dozen years, but for centuries. This is where our sense of responsibility comes from – we want to support local residents in our neighborhood contacts. After listening to the problems of the inhabitants of Świnoujście during the extraordinary session of the City Council, we started the previously planned activities, which we actively consult with the interested parties themselves and we are starting to implement them at this stage.

The new road to the beach will be marked out as a result of consultations with the city (we have undertaken these and are waiting for a response from the Świnoujście authorities). The road will be built by ZMPSiŚ.

– During the July session of the City Council in Świnoujście, the need to maintain the road to the beach was signaled. We have proposed two variants of its course, we are open to consultations on this matter, we are waiting for a response from Świnoujście – emphasized President Siergiej.

The future road in the above-mentioned concept consists of a road section, a parking lot at the Underground City and a direct access to the beach. Currently, two variants of the road route are being considered – the western one, partly running within the administrative boundaries of the port in Świnoujście, and the eastern one – bypassing the port area.

New route of the R10 bicycle path – we have already started consultations with the Marshal’s Office to propose the best solution in the project, in line with current standards. The current road on the section near the current LNG Terminal and the future Container Terminal is currently temporary. Our offers are collision-free and comfortable for fans of two wheels. The so-called VeloBaltica is, after all, one of the tourist attractions: cyclists come to Świnoujście from Poland and abroad to ride one of the most popular routes in our country. The first variant assumes that the road will partially follow the current route, then turn south towards the planned viaduct and cross the tracks via the road leading through the viaduct. The second alternative is a completely new route – this is the least collision-prone option for cyclists.

The investment in the Deep Water Container Terminal is planned as one of the most ecological and modern in the Baltic Sea Basin. Modern low-emission reloading technologies will be used at the terminal, and the reloading equipment used at the terminal will be characterized by the lowest possible level of emissions in the broadest sense of the word – emission of pollutants, dust, gases and noise.
