Port Gdański Eksploatacja receives new Liebherr LHM 280 cranes
Two new mobile cranes of Liebherr LHM 280 series, which the Port Gdański Eksploatacja company purchased last year, were transhipped at the Szczecin Quay. Owing to this investment, the processing capacity of the Port of Gdańsk increased.

The new cranes have a maximum lifting capacity of 84 tonnes and a reach of 40 meters. When working in tandem, they can handle loads of up to 100 tonnes. The new equipment at the Szczecin Quay will allow the company to further expand its scope of operations and undertake more and more heavy cargo transhipments, project cargo, steel structures, machines and vehicles. The LHM 280 cranes will also increase the transhipment rate of bulk goods, and the modern diesel-based drive meets the EU stage V/EPA Tier 5 final standards.
It is worth recalling that this is another investment in new transhipment equipment, which is related to the development of activities in the field of increasing bulk transhipment. Last year, deliveries of three mobile cranes of Liebherr LHM 550 series were completed and they work efficiently at the Dworzec Drzewny Quay.
