Katowice Airport will build multimodal goods and fuel delivery hub
Katowice Airport with EU co-funding for construction of multimodal goods and fuel delivery hub with railway siding connection.
The Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL SA) signed an agreement with CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency co-funding the project: “Construction of a multimodal goods and fuel delivery hub with railway siding connection at Katowice Airport.” The new infrastructure will be built in the south-eastern part of the airport. The project is scheduled to conclude in mid-2026.
The estimated total budget of the project is PLN 95.5 million (approx. EUR 20 million); the EU grant under the “Connecting Europe” Facility (CEF) 2021-2027 Military Mobility will constitute up to 50% of eligible costs.
