Yilport Holding orders mobile equipment for its European terminals
Yilport Holding, the Türkiye-based terminal operator, has initiated a significant investment in mobile equipment. It ordered 27 specialised vehicles, mainly reach stackers for its reloading facilities in Sweden, Portugal and Italy. All the booked units will be supplied by Cargotec from late 2022 till early 2023.
Being an operator of 22 seaports and maritime terminals in Türkiye, Europe and Latin America, Yilport Holding is paying particular attention to its mobile equipment. Among the latest developments is the order of 27 new specialised vehicles, which will be produced and supplied by Kalmar, a part of Cargotec. Yilport Holding will receive all the equipment from the third quarter of 2022 till the first quarter of 2023. The agreement also includes an extended warranty and service contracts for all equipment to be delivered.
Order breakdown
The latest order of Yilport Holding includes the delivery of 20 Eco reach stackers, four empty container handlers and three forklift trucks. Of them, only six vehicles, including four Kalmar Eco reach stackers, one empty container handler and one forklift truck, are dedicated to the facilities in Türkiye, namely to the Yilport Gebze and Gemport.
The majority of the ordered mobile equipment will be supplied to the terminals in Europe. Gävle Terminal in Sweden will receive six Kalmar Eco reach stackers, one empty container handler and two forklift trucks. Three facilities in Portugal will jointly receive 10 vehicles: five Eco reach stackers for the Setúbal terminal, two Eco reach stackers and one empty container handler for the Sotagus terminal, one Eco reach stacker and one empty container handler for the Liscont terminal. Moreover, the Taranto Terminal in Italy will receive two Kalmar Eco reach stackers.
