Dachser opens new logistics centre in France
Dachser, the German road freight specialist, is moving further in boosting its activities in France. Therefore, it has added a new logistics centre in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region to its network. The facility was built in accordance with the latest environmental standards.
In late June 2022, Dachser has put into operation a new warehouse in Pont d’Ain, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. It is the fifth company’s logistics centre in the mentioned region. It has an area of 18,000 square meters, where up to 21,000 pallets can be placed. Being designed in line with the company’s environmental strategy, the facility was equipped with solar panels, which were installed on the roof, and LED lighting with presence detectors indoors and out.
Contract logistics
Dachser launched the new distribution centre in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region to meet the sustained growth of contract and groupage logistics in that part of France. For over 10 years, the German company have gained experience in delivering its logistics services to various industries in the region such as textiles, hygiene, consumer goods and construction. Efficient warehousing is an essential part of Dachser’s activities.
