Hellmann to develop express parcel delivery in Central Eastern Europe
German logistics provider Hellman is strongly committed to developing its activities in Central Eastern Europe. Within this policy, the company has purchased OptimNet, the Czech specialist in express parcel delivery. This will allow Hellman to strengthen its presence in Czechia and Slovakia.

The Czech company OptimNet Solutions s.r.o., which runs express and overnight parcel delivery services in Czechia and Slovakia under the ‘OptimNet’ brand, will become a part of Hellman Worldwide Logistics, the German logistics group. Its three distribution centres (in Říčany near Prague, Pardubice and Brno) and 37 employees will continue their work. Ondřej Zíta, OptimNet’s shareholder, will remain the company’s managing director and will seamlessly carry on the operational business together with Wilfried Hesselmann, head of CEP Europe at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Such a measure will allow OptimNet to continue business relationships with all customers as usual.
Growth strategy
OptimNet is the second acquisition of Hellman Worldwide Logistics in Central Eastern Europe. In 2021 the German company purchased Innight Hungary Kft., a Hungarian specialist in the express and overnight delivery with a well-developed network in the Balkans, from Romania to Albania, and Western Europe.
“With the expansion of our overnight express service in Eastern Europe, we are taking another consistent step in our growth strategy, which we initiated at the beginning of last year and have successfully developed in the meantime,” said Jörg Herwig, COO for Road & Rail at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
