Polish logistics specialist Spedcont is continuing to develop its network of intermodal connections. The new service will link the company’s terminal in Łódź with the Fiorenzuola d’Arda terminal in northern Italy.

Starting from early May 2022, Spedcont, a part of PEKAES Group, will run the container trains between Łódź and Fiorenzuola d’Arda, over 20 kilometres southwest from Piacenza. “As a part of this connection, Spedcont, on the basis of a regular intermodal service, offers door-to-door deliveries between central Poland and northern Italy,” the company states. Moreover, Spedcont, in cooperation with Kombiverkehr, is planning to launch another new intermodal connection from its terminal in Łódź. It will run to Duisburg three times a week.
