Kombiverkehr connects Hannover Lehrte MegaHub with Netherlands and Czechia
Kombiverkehr, the German logistics company focused on combined transport, is moving further in expanding its network of intermodal services. It has kicked off two new connections from Hannover Lehrte MegaHub to the Netherlands and Czechia.
In mid-December, Kombiverkehr intensified combined transport from Hannover Lehrte MegaHub, the German most innovative intermodal hub, by adding two new connections, to Rotterdam’s Europoort terminal and Lovosice terminal. Both services are offered four times a week in each direction.
“With the addition of today’s train product between Rotterdam’s Europoort terminal and Lovosice in the Czech Republic to the MegaHub transport concept, we are opening up key gateway services in our international network for both industrial regions via Hanover,” said Alexander Ochs, managing director of Kombiverkehr.
More train to Duisburg
Besides the new intermodal services to and from Hannover Lehrte MegaHub, Kombiverkehr increased the frequency of the existing ones. Starting from 13 December, the German logistics provider took the opportunity of the 2021/2022 timetable change to boost the rail freight operations between Hannover-Lehrte and Duisburg-Ruhrort Hafen DUSS from three to five departures per week. Both directions are available for the customers from Mondays to Fridays.
