280 companies participate in TransLogistica Poland 2021
The largest trade fair for freight forwarding and transport companies in Poland and Central and Eastern Europe – TransLogistica Poland – was held in Warsaw.
On November 3-5, 2021 in Warsaw, EXPO XXI, 12/14 Prądzyńskiego Street there was a possibility to meet more than 280 companies from the industry. At stand B22, representatives of the Port of Gdynia Authority and companies operating in the Port of Gdynia discussed prospects for the coming months and opportunities for cooperation, presenting the port to those arriving at the fair.
“Translogistica Fair is one of the most important industry events of the logistics market in Poland. We came here together with our contractors – Terramar and Langowski Logistics because we never act in isolation from our partners. We, as the management board of the port, prepare the space and infrastructure, while our partners run their business there. The main purpose of our presence at this fair is to hold talks and maintain closer relations with our partners, which is extremely important after the pandemic period. We know that this is an invaluable way to build business relations for the future in the Port of Gdynia,” says Maciej Krzesinski, Director of Marketing and International Cooperation of Port of Gdynia Authority.
During the presentation to potential customers, Maciej Krzesinski said: “We are an absolutely universal port, 10 terminals, we handle everything. We have regular connections with the whole world: we have recently added connections with North America, India, Pakistan. We also have a daily connection with Great Britain. A few interesting facts related purely to logistics – among others, the project called “Intelligent truck traffic management system in the Port of Gdynia”, which we are currently implementing, is aimed at improving the fluidity of traffic in road access to and from the Port, which will allow us to ensure the timely delivery and drop-off of cargo. We also have our own system of Digital Railway Guidance, in which the rail carrier, after logging in, provides basic information about the freight trains directed from inland to the Port of Gdynia. The most important information, such as planned arrival, type and quantity of cargo, type and number of individual wagons in the train, allow for efficient planning and further management of wagon turnover”.
“During the TransLogistica fair, under the common banner of the Port of Gdynia, we want to show and promote maritime transport services, we hope to meet new customers, especially from beyond the eastern border. For them we have an offer especially in the field of warehousing services and last-mile delivery – we pick up goods in the Port of Gdynia, repack them in our warehouses so that they can finally reach customers from Belarus, Ukraine and Russia,” says Tomasz Gawrylczyk, Marketing Manager at Langowski Logistics.
“After the pandemic period when we worked remotely, online, we are thirsty for face-to-face contact with our clients. Our goal is to meet with contractors at least once a year, even if only during conferences and trade fairs.
We have been cooperating with Port of Gdynia Authority for years and recently we have been developing Project Cargo and Military Cargo services,” adds Tomasz Gawrylczyk.
Translogistica is a business event for people related to transport, forwarding and logistics, as well as for manufacturers and distributors of all kinds, i.e. companies using or looking for TFL services.
Visitors have the opportunity to benefit from the expertise of TFL industry specialists. Topics discussed during the panels concerned intermodal transport markets and perspectives of multimodal development.
